Former cop's friend testifies he cleaned blood from van after alleged murders
A friend testified that ex-officer Beau Lamarre-Condon arrived unannounced to clean his van days after allegedly killing Jesse Baird and Luke Davies.
A witness at the trial of Beau Lamarre-Condon told a NSW court what happened when the former police officer arrived at her home. This was days after the alleged murders.
He wanted to clean the back of his van. The friend, testifying under a pseudonym, said he became emotional.
He told her he was saying goodbye and had done something bad. Lamarre-Condon asked her to search the definition of schizophrenia, claiming he'd had an out-of-body experience and could not control his actions.
Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to murdering Jesse Baird, his ex, and Luke Davies. Both men were in their 20s.
Their bodies were found at a rural property inside surfboard bags. The court heard Lamarre-Condon claimed self-defence.
He said he killed the men while retrieving his belongings. The Crown alleges he killed Baird execution-style through a jealous obsession.
Then he shot Davies to eliminate a witness.
