$139m expansion approved for St Philips Christian College
St Philips Christian College won approval for a 25-year expansion including a public pool and room for 450 more students.
The 25-year plan allows the school to cater for another 450 students alongside the 1,280 already attending. Stage one begins immediately with an aquatic centre, early learning facilities, and renovations to existing buildings.
The new swimming pool has two basins: a 25-metre pool and a 15-metre pool, both open to the public. The project will create 56 permanent jobs at the school, 280 construction jobs, and 56 operational roles once finished.
