Daryl Davey, Corowa Shire deputy mayor, dies aged 79
Daryl Davey has died aged 79. He was former deputy mayor of Corowa Shire and a Tunzafun volunteer.
Davey served Corowa Shire for two terms from 2008. Davey held the deputy mayor role from 2012 to 2014.
After retiring, he used his mechanical skills to keep Tunzafun amusement park running. Daryl Davey moved to Mulwala in 1986.
He threw himself into community work. He was Lions Club president twice and helped set up the Yarrawonga community kiosk.
His family held his wake at Tunzafun. He spent many hours there with his grandchildren.
He died from problems after cancer treatment.
