Labor pledges free dental clinic for Bendigo by 2027
Labor announced one of three regional free dental clinics, set to open in Bendigo in July 2027 if re-elected.
Upper house Labor leader Jaclyn Symes stood with local candidates to reveal Bendigo will get a free dental clinic. The announcement came a month before the state election on November 28.
Nationals candidate Andrew Lethlean said he welcomes better dental care but questioned the timing and detail. Andrew Lethlean asked where the funding would come from, where dentists would be found, and how the scheme would work, given the state's high debt.
The Coalition is expected to announce its own dental care policy before the election.
