Shark bites fishing boat off Windang Island near NSW
A 2.5-metre shark circled, nudged and bit the motor of a fishing boat off Windang Island near Shellharbour.
Todd Lloyd and his son Flynn were fishing just north of Shellharbour when a large shark appeared and began circling their vessel. The 2.5-metre creature nudged the boat several times before biting at the motor, leaving visible tooth marks.
The father and son told local media they have only ever seen such a large shark. The pair were captured on video watching the shark lap the water and attack their boat over about half an hour.
After returning home, they inspected the damage and spotted numerous tooth marks on the motor. Todd told local media he was surprised by how persistent and aggressive the creature was.
