New Pajero priced from $68,490 before Christmas launch
Mitsubishi's redesigned Pajero launches in Australia by Christmas, starting at $68,490, using a modified Triton platform for the first time.
The fifth-generation Pajero arrives in Australia just in time for Christmas, priced from $68,490 before on-road costs. The new flagship SUV ditches its previous monocoque construction for a body-on-frame design based on the Triton's platform, balancing off-road ability with on-road comfort.
The base five-seat GLS costs more than Ford's Everest but less than Toyota's Prado. At the top, the GSR flagship outprices the Everest Platinum and uses an updated single-turbo version of the Triton's 2.4-litre bi-turbo diesel engine.
Mitsubishi tested pre-production models at Eagle View 4WD Park near Adelaide. Media cannot yet drive them on public roads.
The cabin represents a fresh direction for Mitsubishi interiors, with tactile controls, quality build, and responsive touchscreens standing out from the Triton.
