Labor hire firm's contract suspended amid bikie coercion allegations over shares
A labour hire firm's contract was suspended after allegations a bikie coerced share transfers through threats.
Career Boss Australia, a labour hire company, had its contract on South Australia's largest infrastructure project suspended on October 18. The suspension followed a civil case claiming bikie Jamie Brown coerced share transfers "by making express threats of physical harm".
Brown denies the claim. The company is still owed about $2 million from the lead contractor, John Holland, for completed work.
At a court hearing on Friday, the judge temporarily froze a bank account connected to Career Boss Australia. Brown has not yet filed a defence.
The case returns to court on November 16.
