Victoria scraps $134,000 Andrew statue
Premier Ben Carroll stopped a statue of former Labor leader Daniel Andrews. Work began in May under a 1999 policy that made statues for Victorian premiers who served more than 3,000 days. Carroll said Saturday the policy wastes money. 'Gratitude does not require a taxpayer-funded statue,' he said.
