Grill'd adds Albert Street location to Brisbane CBD burger cluster

Grill'd is converting a former games shop on Albert Street into a 153-seat restaurant, intensifying competition in Brisbane's CBD burger market.

Grill'd is taking over the vacant EB Games space on Albert Street between Queen and Adelaide streets, moving toward one of Brisbane's most crowded fast-food strips. The new site will seat up to 153 diners with raised booths overlooking Albert Street.

The new site sits just a few doors from Wendy's, which opened last October, and within about 110 metres of McDonald's, Hungry Jack's and KFC. Grill'd already runs a restaurant at nearby Wintergarden shopping centre, which may be affected by planned redevelopment.

The chain did not confirm whether both sites would remain long-term.
