Three Middle East nations form NATO-style military pact
Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia pledged to defend each other from attack. Together they have 1.4 million active troops. Only Pakistan has nuclear weapons.
The Mecca Joint Defence Agreement was signed August 7. It says an armed attack on any one of the three counts as an attack on all.
