Bibra Lake crash kills Perth cyclist, man charged
Cyclist Joseph Paratore, 40, was killed on North Lake Road; Craig Strawbridge, 40, charged with failing to stop and report.
Joseph Paratore was struck while cycling on North Lake Road in Bibra Lake about 5:20am on Tuesday. Paratore was critically injured and died at the scene.
Police found a broken side mirror casing at the crash. This helped identify a Toyota Prado as the vehicle.
Craig Daniel Strawbridge, 40, from Yangebup was arrested. He was charged with failing to stop and report an incident causing death.
Strawbridge appeared in Fremantle Magistrates Court. His case was adjourned until November 23.
Paratore was remembered as a loving father of two. He was a popular member of Perth's cycling community.
