Lochie Dalton chases Super2 title while tackling Bathurst as co-driver
The 24-year-old leads the Super2 championship by 69 points and races for Erebus at Bathurst on Sunday.
Lochie Dalton is juggling one of motorsport's toughest weekends. The Launceston driver will co-pilot for Erebus Motorsport in Sunday's Bathurst 1000, his second attempt at Australia's biggest race.
Last year he finished 13th in a wildcard entry. This year he's part of a serious title bid with Cooper Murray as main driver.
Dalton is also leading the Super2 championship by 69 points, meaning he'll race Super2 cars across the weekend as well. If Erebus wins, Dalton becomes the fourth Tasmanian ever to claim Bathurst, following John Goss (1974), David Parsons (1987) and John Bowe (1989 and 1994).
