Over 4 million toothpaste tubes recalled over manufacturing defects
FDA recalls more than 4 million tubes including Brush Buddies children's varieties for defects.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as Class II on October 19, indicating the products may cause temporary health effects but serious harm is unlikely.
Pritam International started the voluntary recall in September. Affected brands include Brush Buddies kids toothpaste.
It comes in character themes and flavours like cookies 'n cream and mint chocolate chip. Also affected are Evo and Aru lines.
They are sold for whitening, sensitivity, gum health and cavity protection. The reason: differences from manufacturing rules that ensure safety and correct ingredients.
Parents should check FDA reports for specific product codes and dates.
