iTech expands gold intercept at Sabre prospect in Northern Territory
iTech Minerals' final assays expanded a gold intercept at Sabre to 29 metres at 2.36 grams per tonne.
iTech Minerals has expanded a second gold deposit at its Sabre prospect in the Northern Territory's Reynolds Range, strengthening the case for deeper exploration. Final assays from recent drilling showed a 29-metre intercept grading 2.36 grams of gold per tonne from 81 metres down, larger than the initial 21-metre intercept reported in early October.
The deepest hole returned 10 metres of material at 2.17 grams per tonne from 162 metres, suggesting gold extends further down than previously known. Managing director Mike Schwarz said the two gold shoots likely sit on the same mineralised shear zone, with largely untested ground between them below 120 metres.
The company plans diamond drilling from mid-November to test the deeper zone and establish whether the two shoots connect. All lengths reported are downhole intervals; true widths remain to be confirmed.

Why it mattersLarger, deeper gold deposits improve a junior miner's chances of becoming a standalone producer and attract investor interest.
