Six Illawarra beaches get daily drone shark patrols from September 1

Six Illawarra beaches will get daily drone patrols from September 1, running 6.15am to 5pm. Three others get weekend patrols, daily during school holidays and December to April. Shark nets go in at 51 beaches between Wollongong and Newcastle, added to 305 existing SMART drumlines.
