Large Merino stud farm for sale after 40-year run in Victoria
Killara Park, a 527-hectare Merino stud farm near Euroa, is listed for tender after Kevin Hynam's 40-year career breeding sheep.
A major Merino stud and commercial sheep farm in Victoria is being offered for sale by tender. Killara Park at Longwood comprises 527 hectares.
Kevin Hynam runs the Poll Merino stud and said in 2024 he was ready to exit after more than four decades in the industry. The Hynam family moved to Longwood in 2016 from the Mallee.
The property sits in a valley between two mountain ranges, giving it fertile soil and reliable rainfall. About 100 acres are cropped each year.
Farm infrastructure includes a three-stand shearing shed with concrete floor and ram feed shed. A hay shed built in 2017 holds 1250 large square bales.
The property has four 40-tonne grain silos and dams holding more than 26 megalitres of water. Tender closes November 13.
