Nimbin man dies at Drake bush doof; investigation underway
A 53-year-old Nimbin man died after being found unconscious at a bush doof near Drake on Saturday night despite emergency responders' efforts.
Emergency services went to Leslie Creek Rd near Drake around 11:30pm Saturday. A man was found unconscious at the property.
People there began first aid right away. NSW Ambulance paramedics continued CPR, but could not revive him.
The man is believed to have been at a bush doof, an outdoor party in the bush often with electronic music and camping. The property is about an hour west of Casino in northern NSW.
Investigators are now working to find out what caused his collapse before emergency services were called.
