Two people walk out of Braddon bottle shop with stolen alcohol, footage shows
Two people wearing masks allegedly stole cases of spirits and ready-made drinks from a Braddon bottle shop on Monday evening without paying.
Workers dining at Pizza Gusto in Braddon, Canberra, watched as two people entered the Cellarbrations liquor store next door on Monday at 6.37pm and left with cases of stolen alcohol. Store staff warned nearby customers to leave because a theft was in progress, then did not intervene in line with shop policy.
Video footage shows one person carrying multiple cases of Vodka Cruiser and Hard Rated Alcoholic Lemon drinks past the restaurant while a second person walked behind them with a red crossbody bag and a white covering on their face.
The pair crossed the street and left the area. Police were not called.
ACT Policing confirmed as of Tuesday morning that no report had been made to them about the alleged theft.
