At least seven passengers fall sick on Egypt-to-Scotland flight
At least seven people on flight EZY3320 became severely ill with vomiting, fever and nausea mid-flight on November 3.
An EasyJet flight from Egypt to Scotland landed safely after multiple passengers became very ill during the six-hour flight. At least seven people vomited and had high fevers and nausea.
A child also developed an unexplained rash. Before landing around 11:10pm on November 3, the crew contacted air traffic control.
Medical staff waited at the airport. The airline doesn't know if the illness spread between people or if each person got separate food poisoning.
A similar outbreak hit a different EasyJet flight from Egypt to Glasgow two weeks earlier, making at least eight passengers sick.

Why it mattersIf outbreaks are linked to food served before or during Egypt-to-UK flights, travellers need to know the risk and airlines may need to change their practices.
AustraliaNo direct Australian effect yet, but the pattern of two outbreaks on Egypt-to-UK routes in weeks suggests a potential food or water safety issue in Egypt that could affect Australian travellers on the same flights.
