Geelong runs over Hawks for sixth consecutive win
Geelong defeated Hawthorn 82-46 in a 36-point rout to record its sixth consecutive victory.
Geelong sent a powerful message to the rest of the AFLW competition with a comprehensive 82-46 victory over Hawthorn. The Cats built a 50-point lead early in the fourth quarter before Hawks goals made the final margin 36 points.
Georgie Prespakis, Nina Morrison and Mikayla Bowen led Geelong through the midfield. Jackie Parry kicked three goals for the Cats, whose height advantage caused problems for the Hawks.
Geelong's dominance came despite losing key defender Lexi Gregor to a concussion.
