Investigation ends after James Fallon High School data breach
The school was breached in April; close monitoring found no evidence the stolen information was released or misused.
James Fallon High School in North Albury was hit by a cyber attack in April 2026. The breach exposed school policies, teaching materials, and some information about students, parents and staff.
On September 17, the Department of Education and Cyber NSW announced their investigation had finished. Throughout the close monitoring since the breach, they found no evidence the information was actually released or misused.
The attack came from outside NSW. Families are advised to stay alert for any emails or calls falsely claiming to be from the school or education department.
