Search underway for teenage camper missing in Walhalla East

Police are searching for William, a teenager who disappeared Friday afternoon from a campsite near Stoney Creek Road in Walhalla East. William walked a short distance to another part of the camp and failed to return.
Officers believe he became lost in the surrounding terrain. The search involves multiple police units: Dog Squad, Mounted Branch, Search and Rescue Squad, and State Emergency Services personnel.
Police and family are growing increasingly concerned because William wore only minimal clothes and harsh weather swept the area over the weekend. A command post has been set up in Cowwarr to coordinate the effort.
