Megan Schutt dominates Bangladesh with 4-16 as Australia seals series

Megan Schutt took 4 for 16 to help Australia seize the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh.

Schutt bowled 53 dot balls at Allan Border Field in Brisbane, taking her series tally to 10 wickets at an average of 7.1. Schutt now holds the record for most wickets in ODIs at this venue with 28 wickets across 14 matches.

Bangladesh made 172 after being asked to bat first, with only Shorna Akter reaching 54 runs and Shramin Akhter scoring 50. Phoebe Litchfield, who had struck 77 and 70 in the series, was ruled out with a low-grade hip strain sustained during Sunday's second match.

She was replaced by Nicola Carey. With Australia leading 2-0, the third match was a dead rubber.

Wicketkeeper Beth Mooney played her 100th ODI and dismissed Akter with a brilliant stumping. Australia now prepares for a three-match T20 series against New Zealand starting Tuesday in Sydney.
