Attacker of MP Helen Haines also allegedly ran over a dog, police confirm

Brendan Nugent is accused of hitting MP Helen Haines with a vehicle and running over a dog.

A dog was hit and hurt by his vehicle. The dog owner told ABC Melbourne they had reported past concerns about Nugent's behavior to police.
