Apple launches iPad Mini with 8.5-inch OLED screen
Apple's new iPad Mini features an 8.5-inch OLED display, thinner 5.4mm body, and the A20 Pro processor.
The updated iPad Mini pairs a larger, brighter 8.5-inch OLED screen with a thinner, lighter design than before. At just 5.4mm thick, it's slimmer than its predecessor while keeping a portable form factor.
The tablet runs Apple's A20 Pro chip, which supports on-device AI for some Siri features. The iPad Mini's peak brightness reaches up to 1,200 nits and includes a 12-megapixel front camera repositioned for better landscape video calls.
It has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, plus up to 10 hours of battery life. Pricing starts at $699 for Wi-Fi and $849 for Wi-Fi plus cellular, with pre-orders Wednesday and availability November 6.
