Man shot dead in Reservoir as police probe targeted attack
Elias Serevetas, 55, shot dead outside a Reservoir housing complex on Tuesday night.
Serevetas died on the footpath around 11.50pm on Mahoneys Road in Melbourne's north. Police are investigating whether the shooting was a targeted attack connected to a fracture in an organised crime group.
George was charged with extortion in 2024, a case later withdrawn after witnesses withdrew complaints. Residents heard multiple gunshots in quick succession.
A dark SUV was seen at the scene, and a burnt-out car found nearby may be linked. No arrests have been made.
