Port Stephens council faces formal complaint over $1.25m beach path

A group of 130 residents has lodged a formal complaint against Port Stephens Council. They want the council to pause work on a 500-metre concrete path due to start in October.

Why it mattersIf built before summer, the path will turn a grassed recreational area into sealed concrete. This will disappoint visitors and residents who value the open space.
