Liberal activist took no action after being told of $5m bribe

Charles Perrottet is a Liberal activist and younger brother of former NSW premier Dominic. In 2021, he was shown an email asking for a $5 million bribe. He told the company to call police, then did nothing else.

Why it mattersThe scandal is affecting the Liberal Party weeks before the NSW election. Internal party conflict and Nassif's influence are now on public display at ICAC hearings. This comes as Labor's government has avoided major scandals.

AustraliaThe NSW Coalition faces a March election with election prospects damaged by daily forced testimony at ICAC, while the scandal-free Labor government under Premier Chris Minns consolidates support.
