Isuzu D-Max and MU-X get new twin-turbo diesel
The new bi-turbo diesel pushes 150kW and 500Nm, up from the current 120kW and 400Nm.
Isuzu has refreshed its D-Max ute and MU-X SUV with a new bi-turbo diesel engine option. The 2.2-litre engine delivers 150kW at 3600rpm and 500Nm of torque between 1600 and 2600rpm, a step up from the existing single-turbo version rated at just 120kW and 400Nm.
The new engine comes with a high-pressure injection system and hooks up to a six-speed manual or retuned eight-speed automatic. The D-Max has revised front fascias and new grille designs, while the MU-X gains a new grille insert with closer horizontal bars and redesigned rear diffusers.
The updated models debuted in Thailand over the weekend and will appear in showrooms there by the end of October.
