Footballer's e-bike escape from police delayed to November hearing

Footballer Jarrah Maksymow will be sentenced on November 26 for fleeing police on an e-bike.

Former top Border footballer Jarrah Maksymow was supposed to be sentenced this week. Maksymow faced charges of hindering police, riding without a helmet, and riding furiously.

The case goes to November 26 instead. On August 8 at a children's football match in North Albury, Maksymow spotted police with an arrest warrant.

He had initially said he would cooperate. But then he jumped on a nearby child's e-bike and rode across the field while the match was on.

CCTV cameras captured him pedalling away and looking back at police. He rode through the intersection at Five Ways with total disregard for traffic.

He also faces domestic violence charges of assault, intimidation, and breaching a domestic violence order. These remain contested.

He is in custody with bail refused.
