TA Field Estates acquires major grazing property from Ballarat accountant

TA Field Estates purchased Banongill and Brenleys, combined 5344-hectare grazing properties near Skipton, from Ballarat accountant Chris Mulcahy and partners.

The sale combines two farming operations: Banongill South (4551 hectares) and Brenleys (793 hectares), located 60 kilometres apart and about 80km south-west of Ballarat. The vendors were Ballarat accountant Chris Mulcahy, his wife Tanya and a group of investors.

TA Field Estates is a major NSW family-owned company running wool production, lamb breeding, cattle and dryland cropping across northern NSW. Banongill South has been heavily developed as a livestock breeding operation over the past five years.

It features modern shearing infrastructure, 230 paddocks, grain silos, water dams and boreholes. The original Banongill Station dates to the 1850s and was once owned by Francis Ormond, famed for Ormond College at the University of Melbourne.

The sale price was not disclosed.
