Fyshwick food truck serves fresh Portuguese tarts five days a week
Elva Feng hand-makes Portuguese tarts and sells them from her Fyshwick carpark food truck, Monday to Friday.
Elva Feng hand-makes her Portuguese tarts instead of ordering them from a specialist supplier as many in her field do, so her customers get the freshest tarts served warm. Tata Tart is parked in Lincoln E. Raynor Memorial Park.
Elva started with three core flavours and lowered the sugar content because she felt people wanted something healthier. Elva adds seasonal variations; right now, a spiced pumpkin tart she says is the only one in the region.
Regulars order ahead through her website and swing by Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3 pm. The pastry flakes, the filling stays smooth, and each tart takes just two bites.
