Launceston's Burger Got Soul building heads to November auction
Seven Charles Street properties including the closed Burger Got Soul restaurant will be auctioned on 13 November.
The former Burger Got Soul restaurant in Launceston, closed since early 2025, is heading to auction along with five one-bedroom units and a heritage-listed 1880s terrace next door. All sit on Charles Street near the city and hospital.
The properties are expected to sell for between the high $1 millions and low $2 millions. A new buyer could recreate a burger shop at the site, depending on trademark laws, or develop the whole precinct into something else.
The properties need renovation but offer seven separate income streams. This makes them attractive to both owner-occupiers and developers.
The buildings were also on the market in 2024.
