Tara Cheyne won't say if corrupt staffer still works for ACT
Attorney-General Tara Cheyne refused to say if Joshua Ceramidas still works for the ACT. He was found corrupt in a school tender.
An ACT Integrity Commission investigation found that Ceramidas and the former head of the Education Directorate manipulated a primary school upgrade tender to help a union's interests. Ceramidas and Haire both engaged in serious corrupt conduct.
Ceramidas was a senior ministerial staffer at the time. In question time on Tuesday, Attorney-General Tara Cheyne refused to say if he still works for the ACT public service.
She said it would set an unusual precedent to comment on individual employment. Three months ago, a government spokesperson said he was employed.
Ceramidas has now taken action against the Integrity Commission in the Federal Court.
