Zak Butters faces Port Adelaide in 2027 Gather Round grudge match

Zak Butters will face his former club Port Adelaide in the 2027 Gather Round in April.

The AFL has confirmed the 2027 Gather Round fixture, setting up two headline only grudge matches with star players returning to face their old sides. Zak Butters, who joined Western Bulldogs in a big-money free agency move, will play Port Adelaide on Sunday night at Adelaide Oval.

Rowan Marshall, traded from St Kilda to Geelong earlier this month, will take on the Saints on Sunday afternoon at Barossa Park. The Gather Round runs Thursday April 8 to Sunday April 11.

It will also feature three rematches from this year's finals: Adelaide against Brisbane, Carlton against Melbourne and Fremantle against Hawthorn. The event stays in South Australia across Adelaide Oval, Barossa Park and Norwood Oval.
