Steele-John's ex challenges his public account of relationship after he posted
A WA senator posted intimate relationship details on Instagram without consent.
WA senator Jordon Steele-John posted a long statement on Instagram on October 18. He detailed his breakup with a Perth woman.
He said she sent more than 700 messages and made 56 phone calls over 55 hours. The woman has now spoken publicly.
She said she never agreed to having such intimate details shared with strangers on social media. She argues Jordon Steele-John is trying to discredit her ahead of an independent inquiry into allegations of inappropriate conduct toward women.
The couple dated from May to late September 2025. In November 2025, Steele-John obtained a restraining order against her.
They later settled out of court in September 2026 with no admission of domestic violence. Police also investigated a separate allegation involving condom removal and closed the case with no charges.
