Can my landlord keep my bond for cleaning in Tasmania?
Only if you agree to the claim form or the Commissioner decides it. You can dispute a claim.
Your clock
- 3 working days: Owner's form
- Before a claim form is lodged, or within 10 days of lodgment: Your dispute
- 7 days after the last party is told: Appeal to Court
The rule in Tasmania
- Within 3 working days of the end, the owner must give you a claim form with reasons.
- The Authority pays out only if all agree, or after the Commissioner decides.
- If you do not lodge the form in 10 days, the owner can, and it goes to the Commissioner.
A dispute needs a written form and a fee.
What to send
