Repeat offender jailed again over Victoria crime spree
Thomas Anthony McLean received 10 months jail for car thefts and burglaries across Victoria.
A 32-year-old with a long history of incarceration was sentenced after a six-month crime spree. Thomas Anthony McLean had stayed clean after rehab but relapsed at a music festival.
A $115,000 Toyota LandCruiser stolen from Wodonga was used in later robberies. McLean's offending spread across towns including Yarrawonga, Benalla, Sale, and Cranbourne.
He smashed car windows, stole registration plates, failed to stop for police and took fuel from multiple places. The Wodonga magistrate said breaking addiction is hard work but McLean had not done enough.
