Russian bombing kills at least 29 at Ukrainian aid centre

At least 29 people were killed when Russian forces dropped multiple 3,000kg bombs on a humanitarian aid distribution point in southern Ukraine.

Russian aircraft dropped at least nine 3,000kg aerial bombs on the village of Komyshuvakha in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region on Monday. The bombs hit a school building used to hand out aid.

At least 29 people were killed and 10 injured. Another 48 are missing.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said a second wave of bombs hit the place where people had taken shelter after the first strike. Video released by Zelensky shows a huge crater and rescue teams searching the rubble.

The death toll has risen as search and rescue work continues. The Russian military has not publicly commented on the attack.
