Ford returns to Hamilton as Norton Motor Group expands south-west dealerships

Norton Motor Group bought Hamilton Automotive and will open a Ford dealership there.

Warrnambool-based Norton Motor Group has expanded into Hamilton. Norton Motor Group bought Hamilton Automotive, an independent repair centre, from Michael and Michelle Nolte, who ran it for 20 years.

Michael worked there for 40 years total. The Noltes will now lead the new Ford dealership.

Ford Australia first asked for a service point. But the site had room for car sales, so the plan grew bigger.

Norton will watch customer interest over two years before it builds a new showroom. The business now has six staff and will grow.

Norton Motor Group operates in Warrnambool, Hamilton and Horsham. It closed its Stawell dealership in June because it couldn't find enough technicians.
