Labor pledges $18m to upgrade Bendigo Senior Secondary College
Labor pledges $18.59m for an applied learning centre at Bendigo Senior Secondary College, conditional on the party's re-election on November 28.
Labor has pledged $18.59 million to upgrade Bendigo Senior Secondary College if the party wins the state election on November 28. The funding will build an applied learning centre with new classrooms focused on allied health and early childhood education.
Labor candidates Tim Rickwood and Brenton Baldwin made the announcement at the college on Wednesday, not Premier Ben Carroll. Tim Rickwood and Brenton Baldwin are facing strong election challenges from Nationals and One Nation rivals in Bendigo East and Bendigo West.
School principal Kylie Hand said the funding would let the college expand without losing education quality. The work would take about 13 to 14 months if approved.
The commitment depends on Labor being re-elected.
