Riley runs 5km to prove epilepsy won't slow him down
Riley was diagnosed with epilepsy in May and is now running 5 kilometres to show the condition won't stop him playing sport.
Riley fell from a chair in January, and his mum soon realised he was having seizures. By May, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, which causes repeated, unprovoked seizures.
Riley's main worry was whether the condition would stop him playing sport. With his parents managing his medication, diet, and hydration, he's been able to operate mostly as normal.
On November 1, Riley will run 5 kilometres in the Canberra Times Run Canberra, with his mum and older brother Connor running beside him. His mum is training for the first time in her life just to keep up with her active boys.
