Led Zeppelin allows Stairway to Heaven in Narnia film for first time ever
Netflix's Narnia: The Magician's Nephew trailer features Stairway to Heaven, the first onscreen use of Led Zeppelin's famously unlicensed song.
Greta Gerwig's adaptation of C.S. Lewis's Narnia: The Magician's Nephew debuted its trailer at an IMAX theatre in New York this week.
The trailer is soundtracked to Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven. The band has historically refused to license the track for film and TV.
Gerwig showed the film to Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, who approved the use after seeing what she called the heart of the story. The film stars Daniel Craig as Uncle Andrew alongside Emma Mackey, Carey Mulligan, Ciarán Hinds and Meryl Streep.
It releases in cinemas on 12 February 2027 before moving to Netflix on 2 April.
