Prince Andrew summoned to give court evidence in December fraud trial

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor faces court in December to answer questions about financial payments in a fraud case.

A wealthy Turkish woman alleges her financial adviser cheated her. Andrew is not accused of wrongdoing.

But he will be questioned about his money arrangements. This includes a £750,000 transfer he received.

The woman claims the payment was made under false pretences. The adviser says it was a gift instead.

Andrew will also be asked about another payment of around £768,000. The woman's lawyers say it was used improperly.

This will be his first public questioning since his 2019 BBC interview. He may testify in person or by video.
