Heidi, an AI platform that records doctor appointments and creates documents for medical review, has secured $475 million in new funding. The raise includes a $140 million Series C led by existing investor Blackbird, plus $335 million in non-equity growth funding from US venture firm General Catalyst.
The company is now valued at $1.26 billion. Heidi was founded in 2021 by Dr Tom Kelly, Waleed Mussa, and Yu Liu.
The startup plans to expand its AI capabilities to handle background work and give doctors more time for patient care.
