Fuel costs hit travellers hard as diesel nears $3 per litre

A 70-year-old full-time traveller living in a 1999 Toyota said his fuel cost has doubled from about $23 per 100 kilometres to about $50. He is now cutting back on exploration to save money.
The price surge follows the expiration of the government's fuel excise discount and rising geopolitical tension. Experts warn prices are unlikely to drop for at least two months.
