Over 100 childlike sex dolls found on Amazon via deceptive listings
Activists found over 100 listings for illegal childlike sex dolls on Amazon in 2026. Sellers disguised them as toys or figures.
Australian Federal Police warn that childlike sex dolls are being sold online through deceptive listings. They are illegal to possess in Australia.
Possession carries a sentence of up to 15 years in jail. Activists found more than 100 listings on Amazon this year.
These were advertised as action figures or life-size dolls to evade platform policies. Australian Border Force seized 48 items between 2024 and 2025.
They then seized 46 more between 2025 and 2026. In February, Jason William Forbes was jailed for more than seven years for importing a childlike doll.
Police discovered he had detailed plans to kidnap a child. This included a list of kindergartens and a hidden soundproof room.
Police say the dolls can normalise sexual interest in children. They can lead to real-world harm.
