Ray Williams quits NSW parliament after exposing Liberal Party corruption
NSW Liberal MP Ray Williams, who sparked a corruption investigation into his party, will leave parliament at the 2027 election.
Ray Williams, the Kellyville MP who exposed corruption in the Liberal Party, announced he will leave parliament at the 2027 election. In a 2022 speech, Williams said senior party members, including Christian Ellis, paid large sums to install new councillors on The Hills Shire Council.

Williams said whistleblowing cost him dearly. Colleagues shunned him and career opportunities dried up.
He said he would make the same choice again. The inquiry finished public hearings in late September.
