Dean Street Albury gets Japanese stationery store as lolly shop owner returns
Tara Caulfield reopened her old Dean Street store with Paper Mochi Albury, stocking Japanese and Korean products.
Tara Caulfield closed her beloved lolly shop Joy's De'Lights on Dean Street in 2017 and went online, then sold the brand. Recently she spotted the empty storefront and launched Paper Mochi Albury, a Japanese stationery shop.
The new shop stocks Japanese and Korean snacks, stickers, plushies, Hello Kitty products and blind boxes. Caulfield has visited Japan twice and wanted to bring hard-to-find Japanese products to Australia.
She said scrapbooking made her love quality stationery, as did the newer trend of junk journaling.
