Missing bushwalker found alive after six-day search in NSW
Daniel Trenchard-Harry went missing Monday evening. He was found about 600 metres from his home in remarkable condition.
A 28-year-old man went missing in NSW bushland for nearly a week. He was found alive and well.
Daniel Trenchard-Harry was last seen at his Hamilton Valley home on Monday at 6:30pm. Volunteers found him on Sunday afternoon.
He was lying on the ground near a water source on a rural property about 600 metres away. Police said he was conscious and breathing.
He was in remarkable condition despite his health needs and medication requirements. Hundreds of people from the region and across state lines had searched for him.
They included police, the SES, Rural Fire Service, marine rescue divers, mounted police from Sydney, and volunteers. He was taken to hospital and reunited with his family.
Chief Inspector Paul Huggett said searchers thought he was within three kilometres. But he was hard to find.
